Kasa app works fine but Google Home and Google Assistant cannot reach any Kasa smart plugs

With a Google Assistant-enabled device to enjoy hands-free voice control. This guide shows you the process of how to connect your TP-Link Kasa device to your Google Home, please make sure your Google Home is set up already. If not, you can refer to this link to set up the Google Home or contact Google support.

I can say "turn all the lights off" and it'll say "Sure, turning 2 lights off." and then "sorry, I couldn't reach TP Link Kasa". Under the “Linked to you”, you can see the device which is linked to the Google Home but not select a home and room. Before we start, please make sure Remote Control of your Kasa device is enabled on your Kasa APP.

Experience Full Home Security

Try to change another device name on the kasa app and re-link them to the Google home/assistant. Control your smart plug using just your voice with Google. Just start by saying, “Ok Google” to turn your plug-in lamp on and off without leaving your bed. Setup activity zones to control exactly what alerts you receive, whether it be the front door, garage or living room.

EBay Money Back Guarantee if you receive an item that is not as described in the listing. Includes international tracking, simplified customs clearance, and no extra charges at delivery. Rounding out the Spot, I’ll touch on another easy-to-miss perk. The speaker quality of the 2-way audio is remarkably good given the size. It’s not perfect, but it’s really good given what you’re using it for. It’s certainly loud enough to fill a decently-sized room.

Use Google Home app to scan the QR code on the plug to complete the setup

I even tried re-adding it in there to see if I could then remove it, but I can't get it to appear. I am moving some devices from Google Home to Home Assistant, starting with Kasa, so I want to remove the link from Google Home to Kasa. Someone suggested to ask Google Assistant to sync all devices.

Aside from the nearly $100 price difference, the Spot also has the advantage of offering local backup of its footage to a microSD card. That means you can enjoy 24/7 recording without dealing with costly monthly subscriptions. The latest design update looks great, but performs very poorly. I often have to wait 30 seconds or more just for it to give me an accurate status of my tp-link devices. Often just opening the app will cause my devices to start disconnecting from my network. Controlling them through Alexa seems to be the most reliable method at the moment, which was never the case before.

Home security with a siren

When I say, "sync all my devices" [@Nochu] I get "The account owner will need to sync TP Link Kasa". The friendly and easy-to-use Kasa app puts control in your hands, allowing you control and manage your smart home from anywhere. Forget about complicated setups that include hubs and other accessories, Kasa is simple.

I’m overall fairly happy with this camera, but it’s not without a couple of flaws. Firstly, the stream isn’t always perfectly stable when it’s going through Google Assistant. I would often see it crash after just a few minutes on my Nest Hub.

When we unlinked it from the webpage the link disappeared, but the devices were still in Home. Trying to sync said the account holder has to do it. I love keeping a close eye on my home throughout the day with a series of security cameras around my property, with Google’s Nest at the core. The simple fact is, though, that Google’s system just doesn’t fit into every niche and ignores problems such as cost and local storage. That’s where TP-Link Kasa has come in, offering excellent and flexible hardware with an affordable cost and some of the best Google Assistant integration currently available. So I unlinked my partner from the Home, unlinked TP Link Kasa, relinked it from Add Devices, and then it worked fine.

Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods. You can easily pair TP-Link Kasa cameras to Google Assistant via the Home app, just like you’d like most light bulbs, smart plugs, and other products that show up within the app. So easy to schedule on and off times for a smart plug, or you can just the plug on and off too. You may find it hard to believe but app designers can really mess this up. Buy more of these smart plugs because the first was so easy to use. From your description, the smart plugs should work well cause they can be remotely controlled by the kasa app consitantly.

Kasa Smart

Two-way audio lets you talk to whomever shows up on camera, while the camera stand ensures optimal mounting angles on flat surfaces to capture all of the action. The more expensive option for home monitoring would be the ELIOS 3 indoor drone. At $34.99, though, I consider this camera nothing but a win.

Alongside “Hey Google, show me my living room camera,” TP-Link’s Kasa cameras actually show up as actionable buttons on Google Assistant smart displays. That’s something that Wyze cameras, a comparable and equally affordable option, frustratingly doesn’t offer. I checked on the Home app and found that this bedroom light was no longer in the room, "Bedroom."

As a long-time Wyze user, I’ve been far happier with TP-Link’s app as well as the Google Assistant integration of the Kasa Spot versus a standard Wyze Cam. The affordable cost, too, lets me cover more of my home in cameras than Nest would. Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time. Use simple voice commands and Alexa or Google Assistant to control any of your Kasa products.
